The Nebraska Academy of Family Physicians is here to support you through your residency, as a new physician, and throughout your Family Medicine career. Through conferences, scholarships and leadership opportunities, NAFP helps residents of Family Medicine access the resources they need to make their future practices great. As a member of NAFP, residents have the opportunity to participate in NAFP activities; network with the family physician community; and receive NAFP publications. In addition, leadership opportunities for residents exist to get involved in NAFP and the AAFP.

Elected and Appointed Leadership Positions
The American Academy of Family Physicians highly values the contributions made by Family Medicine residents and medical students and recognizes the importance of training future leaders of medicine. It is one of the few specialty organizations to actively enlist resident and student members in leadership roles. Visit the AAFP website learn more about AAFP Resident Leadership opportunities.
Attend the National Conference to learn about the process of successfully transitioning into practice from residency, meet with future employers, fellowship programs, and network with other residents and practicing physicians, and expand your leadership skills by participating in the
